Delete your Zealous account
You can permanently delete your Zealous account and request deletion of the personal data associated with it from inside the Zealous app.
How to request deletion
- Open Zealous and sign in to your account.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the warning and select Delete Forever.
What happens next
Zealous creates a local safety snapshot, requests deletion of active server-side account records, deletes the authentication identity, and then clears local product data from the device. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access your account
Contact privacy@zealous.africa from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Retention and exceptions
Active account records are purged within 30 days after deletion. Financial transaction records may be retained for up to seven years where required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance. Aggregated and de-identified telemetry may be retained for service analysis.
Recent sign-in security check
If Zealous asks you to sign in again, complete that sign-in and confirm Delete Account again. Your local data remains intact until the deletion process can verify your account securely.
